An individualist sees his neighbor trying to move furniture up stairs. He hopes that the guy injures himself so he can move in on the guys wife, job etc. His first inclination is to EXPLOIT OPPORTUNITY
A collectivist sees his neighbor trying to move furniture up stairs. He offers to help, in the hopes that by creating goodwill with his neighbors, they will look out for him and help him in the future.
