The other fatal flaw; lack of imagination.
The founding fathers had to imagine the Constitution before they could write it or implement it.
But conservatives today cannot imagine any life being possible but the one they see. They cannot imagine any thing better. That lack of imagination even prevents them from seeing the obvious truth of my first point.. that they have been brainwashed by the culture to believe individualism the whole coin, rather than just being the flip side of collectivism.
If competition and cooperation cannot be brought back into proper balance, this country is doomed. It will slowly deteriorate into garbage filled shanty towns like what we see in Haiti and the worst slums of Africa.
