I want to give the devil his due, and say that individualism is important in the sense that someone (an individual) has to imagine great projects and visualize it, draw up blueprints, provide leadership etc… before it can be built.

But without collectivism, all grand projects would forever remain just a dream, never solid reality. Because it takes a collective to build huge things
