I'm open for any monetary stakes you want that you can afford to lose, but an apology and an admission of your wrongheaded insults would be the first step and is non-negotiable. Beyond that, and with times as tough for some people as we know they are, I would choose to provide monetary help to one of our own here coming from the loser. I'll cover any sum you can afford to lose if you agree, and I'm sure we can pick someone worthy, and do it either publicly or privately according to their wishes.
Once concluded, I would agree that both forego any previous hostility and express a degree of civility that two old conservatives like us should have in common.
