good vid.. it cannot be overstated how damaging it is to prosperity to have thousands of little taxes, nickel and diming everybody to death.
Small costs, fees, surcharges and taxes on a million little things add up and it is sneaky, evil way to drain the taxpayer.
A single tax, on one easily trackable and observable thing, is far better. It makes financial planning easier and prevents much grift, gouging and criminal mischief.
sadly, I think for many right wingers, that is the rub.. they don’t want to eliminate grift, gouging and mischief.. they just want to be on the right side of it, to profit from it.
