Black people built a thriving community and it was destroyed by white bigots.
Blacks only managed to prosper by creating a market within the boundaries of their own kind.. the Tulsa community was called "black wall street".
When those businesses were destroyed, blacks were forced to disperse and do business with the majority (white) merchants.. and blacks as a whole have poor on average since.
