They are prisoners, wards of the state. They are GIs with no rights. Contagious Disease can spread like wildfire in closed quarters. Physicians don’t have the duty to educate inmates as thoroughly as they would free citizens, they have to make a judgement call, and if the treatment saved lives, then they made the right decision
