No excuse needed!
Trump had the wisdom to see how ending Maduro's reign in Venezuela would force the communist regime of Castro to crash and open the doors to that country becoming a democracy, which would be of huge benefit to the US and a severe detriment to Russia to lose such an ally in this hemisphere.
Unfortunately, you're far too blind and ignorant to understand such political machinations or it's ramifications.
