I also have some ethics around hunting. I consider trophy hunting a true crime against nature. But it's not a **** emo position. That guy's argument is pure dicksuckery.
The issue I have with trophy hunting is that it works the REVERSE of natural predation, removing the BEST, rather than the weakest, and thereby diminishing the herd. Want sick, scrubby herd? Arrange for only scrubby runts to ****.
I always hear trophy hunters crying about how there aren't big racks like there used to be. I tell them I have a theory about that. My theory is that some asshole or assholes shot all the bucks with big racks - and I ask them if they know anyone like that.
Take out the ones with the dna and smarts to get huge and you end up with squirts everywhere.
. The worst I see are the guys targeting big bluegills on beds. They keep them all then wonder in 2 years they can't get big fish anymore.
