DeVry is a severely nonfunctional narcissist. Admitting the slightest weakness threatens his feeble ego, and feels like psychological annilhiation to him.
That means he HAS to lie frantically and endlessly WITH EVERY BREATH, to hide from his own insecurities, weaknesses and fails.
It isn't under his control.
