2nd cousins don't count because they aren't carrying your specific DNA forward and the DNA that added 1st cousins bypassed your failure to reproduce.
that is why I always bring up my sisters are great grandparents and I just become a grandpa which my grandson will probably die from extinction by societal evolution before parenting another generation.
When I was 19 I read a message that stuck with me for a lifetime.
The message was on the bathroom wall at the Las Vegas Greyhound Bus Station;
