Ukraine  says it landed troops on shores of Russian-occupied Crimea. Here's the latest from the warFrom CNN staffUkrainian forces carried out what appeared to be one of Kyiv's most complex and ambitious operations to date against Russian military facilities on the Crimean Peninsula.

 The operation involved Ukrainian special forces landing on the western shore of Crimea to attack Russian units, destroy Kremlin materiel and raise the Ukrainian flag.The Ukrainian military claims at least 30 Russians were killed in the seaborne raid. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said there were no casualties reported among the Ukrainians.

 While there has been no word from Russian-appointed authorities in Crimea on the attack, Russian military bloggers have raised questions about the inability of coastal defenses to detect and repel such operations

Crimea is cut off, except for a narrow land bridge in a war zone and a bridge that Ukraine can drop into the Black Sea at any time.  Ukrainian drone boats have effectively closed the Black Sea to commercial shipping.

Now every Russian conscript in Crimea has to worry about Ukrainian SEALS slitting his throat while he sleeps.

Putin will lose this war.  

All he has to do to avoid catastrophe is withdraw his troops from Crimea across the Kerch bridge, which one lane is still open.

When the land bridge closes, Zelensky will drop both lanes of the Kerch bridge and there will be a mass surrender of Russians not seen since 1914.
