Tunica poker room about 20yrs ago.
One of my buddies whispered to me, "the guy at the other end of the table is a Israeli soldier".
I replied, "I'll find out. Dealer, seat-change button, please".
30min. later I was sitting next to him. I thought to myself, "I am going to tune him up with a
test question. I said, "the .357magnum Desert Eagle is one of my favorite pistols. Have you
ever heard of that pistol" ?
He was looking down at his cards. There was a pregnant pause, & he slowly looked up,
turned his head, & gave me an unblinking steely stare. He said, "I carried that pistol
for 3yrs. in Tel Aviv". I was stunned. He was telling the truth. Here is how I knew.
Nobody carries a 72oz. handgun for no reason. (& nobody lies about it either)
You are prepared to kill, or die,....... or both........every day you strap-up with a Desert Eagle.
We laughed, talked, & played cards all night long. He was touring the U.S. with his American
girlfriend. They were headed for Las Vegas.........but taking their time .......to drink in the
American experience. Just one of the more interesting people that I have bumped into.
End of story.
