It is very easy to program a person to carry out such an atrocious act.
There is an entire playbook dedicated to driving someone to such an extreme and it's called gangstalking or community policing. It's a program designed to systematically tear someone down financially, mentally and physically. It's often referred to as no touch torture and it is almost impossible to escape it . Takes years to get of the program if you are targeted and if you are an acting participant you'll never get out of it .
