Historically when the economy is **** - which it has been since 2008 - the elites would foment some kind of excuse to drag the country into war. And I don't mean one of those silly wars where the DoD gets an unlimited budget to play around with and enrich their contractor friends...like building amazing roads in Iraq while potholes are scattered everywhere in America.

So I'm just curious as to why this hasn't happened yet. (A "hot war" - where hundreds of thousands / millions will potentially die. I don't care about invading some **** 3rd world country without an Air Force.)

I AM willing to acknowledge that something of this sort is coming soon, as a Chinese invasion of Taiwan seems inevitable at this point. But good luck drafting a bunch of American Gen Z'ers who have zero desire to fight this type of war...maybe we should send the retarded Boomers who are keen on winning this "conflict?" If you read any of the traditional neocon/neolib sites it is mostly Boomers who insist on keeping Taiwan independent...the younger gens don't seem to care or are actively opposed.
