Let's take a hypothetical situation. Put procreation aside. Both genders need each other for that, so it cancels out anyway. Let's say tomorrow all men vanish. Poof. They are gone. Well, given that most industrial and infrastructural jobs are completed by men, such as building roads, skyscrapers, construction for building...anything, cleaning and maintaining the city's sewage pipes, maintaining power lines, maintaining and building the power grids, building houses, bricklaying, carpentry, farming, and pretty much anything that is required for survival, the men are in charge of that.
Now, let's say women vanish. Men wouldn't know the difference because we already do almost every thing anyway. The only difference we would notice is that the world would be more quiet.
Women would starve to death in about 6 months. Men would carry on like nothing happened.
