That was the golden age of small government. The only law - a zoning law - was don't **** there. Then big government came creeping in: Only **** here.
If we don't want liquor stores or marijuana dispensaries or homeless shelters or pig farms sharing a wall or a block with day care centers or elementry schools - then zoning laws are elementary.
And if we TRULY want multi-culturalism, then 50 states exressing the local cultural norms and values - as opposed to a one size fits all, washingtoncentric government by dictate - is desireable, and to be highly valued. But libtards hate multi-culturlism. They do everything in their power to homogenize the differences out of existence.
