When I leave the house...it's because I'm seeking conversation with an actual human being.
Smartphones have made people dumb about social skills.
There is nothing more annoying than someone that you are trying to have a conversation with...that is making love with his/her Smartphone.
And they are actually quite useful. I waited, a long time, until I found an app to do my billing. Raised my income by 20%. Well worth it and now I wouldn't live without it so, don't use it on walks to take calls, or stare at all day, but there are two things you'd like where you are.
1. You can use Life360, which tells you where the wife and kids are.
2. You can use What-Three-Words, which with just three words will tell you where you are within three meters anywhere on the planet. Go out for a nice walk, fall or get hurt and need help, just open the app and tell those coming to help you almost exactly where you are.
The wife has a flat tire and needs help, What-Three-Words. Even easier than GPS.
