Did Universal Studios operate under the same rules and tax structure as Disney? No.
How about Busch Gardens? Nope.
Legoland? Nope.
Seaworld? Nope.
Disney received preferential treatment because they were the first to build there, and make Orlando a travel destination.
They made the fatal mistake of biting the hand that fed them.
Now they are free to operate in the same manner as all the other theme parks. The playing field has been leveled.
But someone liberals think this is a bad idea, that Disney should have to pay taxes, like everyone else.
Disney wants to be more inclusive so the vindictiveness comes out.
This is America where the wealthy are always given preferential treatment, and you vote for that repeatedly.
I hate to break it to you, Disney is still getting preferential treatment as DeSantis never touched their half billion dollar tax break. .
