McCarthy had the opportunity to put a full slate of Republicans on the Jan 6th Committee, and he refused. What he was not going to be able to do was put blatant election deniers on the Committee. Trump lost, Biden won. If you are a member of the US House of Representatives and you insist on spewing the big lie that the election was stolen and Trump won, you can do that, but you're not going to be on a US House Committee that is investigating the insurrection riot on Jan 6th.
