I am obviously resurrecting an old thread...
How do we solve the mass shooting problem?
Possession of long barreled hunting rifles and shotguns is legal...that's it. No recoil or gas operated firearms. No big clips. And if you want to own a hunting rifle, you go through the wringer to get a license and it's prohibitively expensive...and an active yearly renewed state hunting license that is also prohibitively expensive every year is required to maintain possession. Let your hunting license expire and the state troopers drop by your house, apartment, or refrigerator box under the expressway overpass to pick up your rifles and shotguns. Had a psych hospitalization, or a domestic violence charge, or an order of protection filed on you? Your gun license is permanently revoked. Conviction is not required.
