Far as we have been told so far, they were looking for documents that support Trump's violation of the Presidential Records Act. I don't think there's any question at this point that Trump has been in possession of documents that as a former disgraced president belong to us, not to him. If any of such documents happen to be classified, at any level (denial of which we know is a lie), a whole other separate set of consequences exists.
