Despite the attempt by your referenced author in a right wing RAG to dismiss the evidence of VOTER SUPPRESSION on the part of Republicans, by using the determination and WILL of Democratic voters NOT to let Republicans dissuade them from exercising THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE, the FACT IS, voter suppression and the right winged effort to SUPPRESS the vote REMAINS AN INDISPUTABLE FACT.
For one, voters encountered ALL SORTS of problems in exercizing their RIGHT to vote in Texas, from hundreds of ballots being returned for missing information (to be placed in spots hidden behind envelope flaps) to long registered voters like a military veteran suddenly getting a registration reject. MUCH of which has already been documented in THIS THREAD.
What's more, right wing VOTER SUPPRESSION isn't only proven by who does or doesn't show up at the polls.It is NO MISTAKE that almost all of the voting chaos occurs in REPUBLICAN LED STATES. In fact it is BY DESIGN.
- When REPUBLICANS move and close polling places in minority districts, THAT'S VOTER SUPPRESSION.
- When REPUBLICANS air ads on Latino radio stations telling their listeners to vote the DAY AFTER THE ELECTION, THAT'S VOTER SUPPRESSION
- When REPUBLICANS try to outlaw mail in ballots, early voting, and absentee voting THAT'S VOTER SUPPRESSION.
- When REPUBLICANS deny voter outcomes by suggesting the results are fraudulent, and thereafter try to incite a POLITICAL COUP, THAT'S VOTER SUPPRESSION.
- When REPUBLICANS criminally form a group of FAKE ELECTORS, draw up fraudulent documents, stamp them with official state seals, and send them to National Archives as if they were LEGIT, THAT'S VOTER SUPPRESSION.
The party of Trump/PUTIN wants Americans to lose faith in the integrity of the election process. Because THAT is what enables dictators like Trump/PUTIN to usurp elections and establish autocracies.
