The efficacy of ivermectin in preventing hospitalization or extended observation in an emergency setting among outpatients with acutely symptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is unclear.
The efficacy is unclear.
The study you are citing randomly gave people in a cohort that had tested positive for covid a dose of Ivermectin and gave an equal number a placebo. There was not a statistically significan drop in hospitalization for the group that got the Ivermectin. But the Ivermectin Protocol does not simply treat with Ivermectin alone. I did not merely take Ivermectin when I beat covid in three days. I took Vitamin K and Vitamin D and zinc and Vitamin C and Azithromyacin and aspirin.
Your study uses an extremely specific cohort that is the opposite of representative of society at large. It's a dart throw, and I find it shocking that it found its way into the NEJM. But that shows how things have degraded.
