The ones whose families answered a knock no one ever wants to hear. Their lives were short. Their legacy is forever. And for those of us who wore the uniform, today hits different. We remember faces. We remember laughter. We remember the last time we saw them alive. We remember the silence that followed. So today, we honor them the only way that matters: By remembering. By speaking their names.

They were the ones who stepped forward.... The ones who raised their right hand knowing full well that the cost could be everything. The ones who didn’t just wear the uniform...they carried it, with all the weight that comes with it. They were sons and daughters. Brothers and sisters. Mothers, fathers, friends, teammates, leaders. They were the best of us. And for those of us who served beside them...who knew their faces, their voices, their jokes, their families, it's personal. Today, and every day, we remember them. To the fallen Heros..........

Thank you. We remember. We will always remember.
