it is also acceptable to contribute to the economy of some geopolitical adversary of the usa...like Russia or China or Iran. That is exactly what I advise my son in law. for some reason he really wants to be an underwater welder. I say fine, just be sure you are working for Russia. (He is also a russophile so it's an easy sell)
