Trump absolutely did imprison his political opposition, by the way. A lot of Charlottesville protesters were arrested and so were a lot of the Jan 6th people. Various members of white nationalist groups, such as robert rundo,were imprisoned on trumped up charges and even liberal federal judges complained about their constitutional rights being violated.
