Either way, it seems they really went a more difficult route to assassinate somebody. They had to groom a mentally kid, set it all up so the kid could have access, intentionally miscommunicate with police, and then cover your tracks. That's a lot of work. Wouldn't it be easier to just poison someone? No patsy needed. No logistic nightmares. Covering your tracks would be much easier.
