Joe Biden is old and slow. It's clear that he struggles. But this is nothing new its been the case throughout his Presidency. None of this stopped Democrats from nominating him of over Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren in 2016. Furthermore he won the election and has pursued a Liberal policy agenda that's been good for the country. Mind you he's done all this while getting older and often slipping up. But he hasn't hurt the country either.
The June 27th debate against Trump was certainly Biden's worst moment. But Im not convinced its enough to disqualify him moving forward. For those who say he will lose to Trump in November that might be the case regardless of his debate performance. Nothing he's done for almost a year has mattered to many Americans. They disapprove of him. The polls haven't moved in Biden's favor. Whether its high prices, immigration, the Southern border crisis, or confidence in the economy people have been critical of Biden. His age is not the only reason people lack confidence in him. The simple fact is he might lose no matter what he does or how he appears.
At the same time Donald Trump is a lying, unhinged, convicted felon, and wannabe dictator ranted like someone in an alternate universe. His debate performance against Biden was awful. Yet the media and pundits don't call for him to leave the race. And Republicans are sticking with him no matter what. That's ridiculous. What's worse there are millions of independent and swing voters who would vote for Trump over Biden. Think about that.
If Biden steps aside for himself and the country that's fine. But if he's going to see this through then he has my vote. Trump is the alternative. He's worse in every possible way. Democrats need to stop listening to Republicans and the media. Stick with the President. Some will say then we will lose and Trump will be President. Maybe so. That might happen if you dump Biden too. Ultimately people have to decide what really matters to them. The fact that Trump has gotten this far makes me feel like America is lost already. I'm not going to dump the President just because other people are willing to even consider Trump.
