individualism has been put on a pedestal by covert and overt messaging that is ubiquitous in pop culture. It started in the 1970s when Jews began to dominate the media and Hollywood. Old Kung fu movies like Enter the Dragon depicted Bruce Lee single handedly destroying dozens of people in unarmed combat. That ridiculous scenario played out over and over in Hollywood scenes like the Rambo franchise, where one guy annihilates an entire military base.
the action hero trope has been played to death, where a lone person defeats a group. Problem is.. that only happens in Hollywood. In real life, a collective will lynch a lone hero in minutes.
Its not just Hollywood. TV, advertising, all media has been playing up this idea that being different is great for 50 years, culminating in our current bizarre worship of transgenders, the ultimate loner outcast archetype.
Here is a simple test for the dear reader. If you have been brainwashed since birth by pop culture to think that individualism is better than colectivism, do this the next time you have to move a couch. Don’t ask a neighbor or friend for help. If individualism rules, just move the couch up 2 flights of stairs by yourself. Let’s see how far your individuality takes you.
