This is simply not true. You pay for everything you eat, everywhere you live and every thing you own with non-backed fiat paper.
Th value of paper money is guaranteed by the government that mines it and puts it into circulation.
If you have a job, ask to be paid in gold, or something other than "non-backed paper" or its equivalent.
When you go to the supermarket, pay in "non backed paper".

Guaranteed inflation to worthlessness, tax on the poor, the young and the old. At best the debt based fiat money will have a steady low rate of inflation with no corresponding wage inflation.
