1. After Russia annexed Crimea, it was only THEN that Ukraine started build up its army, because IT KNEW that it was going to be attacked by Russia... they did get arms and training from the West BUT, in 2020 Ukraine was only the 27th ranked military in the world... TINY compared to Russia !!

2. YES ! Russia has been SPANKED !!... there is NO DOUBT about it ! What's more, they have fought THRU the winter, during which Russia TRIED to mount a winter offensive... but Ukraine has HELD STRONG... pretty much EVERYWHERE... and Russias "New Conscripts"? THEY have been UNDER-WHELMING! In a month or so, when Ukraine is ready, it will have it's new tanks and APC's... AND IT will mount ITS offensive. I would expect they will begin their attack at Bakhmut, and try to DRIVE the Russians into the Sea of Azov. If they succeed they will have cut the land bridge to Crimea, and the WAR will basically be over!... and Crimea will fall, and the rest of Ukraine won't be far behind ! I DO NOT see the Russian Army being able to stop them... after FAILING to take Bakhmut!
3. Carriers ? Maybe... BUT, if they do, they will have America LATEST laser weapons installed, and SO will many of the support ships... "Hypersonic" is fast... BUT, "Speed of Light" is FASTER. I would think Russia and China KNOW about these weapons, and that America has them... but, MAYBE they need to be SHOWN !!
