The Chechen's have FOUGHT their Russian overlords BEFORE... and they did it WITHOUT American help. NOW, they see RUSSIA'S OWN ACTIONS as giving them ANOTHER opportunity... Many of the Chechens KNOW where Russian bases are... KNOW where munitions and weapons are stored... and KNOW how to effectively FIGHT the Russian military. THEN... when the Ukrainians and the Chechens are FIGHTING the Russians on TWO fronts... HOW MANY OTHER ethnic groups might JOIN IN ? HOW MANY fronts can Russia FIGHT on... when they have SHOWN... they can't REALLY even fight effectively on ONE !!
Consequences? Would Putin launch a nuclear war because his OWN PEOPLE are rebelling? HA!! If he DOES do that... REGARDLESS OF the justification... Russia will VERY QUICKLY... be TOAST... LITERALLY !! ...and they will NEVER be able to reconstitute themselves ! ...in THAT scenario, America will break Russia up into 100 different states... and "Russia" will NEVER recover !
