i do not believe in job discrimination. if a person loves flipping burgers, pay him the same as a person who loves to play with sparks. for me, i have many skilled hobbies. so what. what would give me a thrill. is happy families with equal paid fathers, and no job discrimination.
You live in a fantasy world. Nobody on the planet is paid what they are worth. No CEO is personally worth $30 million a year, no TV show host is personally worth $75 million a year, no high school kid working part-time is worth $40/hour.
People are paid what the position they fill in the company is worth in that marketplace. For a burger flipper, their market place is the city or metro area. For the CEO, it depends on the size of the company and the industry. For the TV show host, it depends on their ratings.
Minimum wage is not meant to be a way of life. It is for entry level employees with no experience in the workplace and minimal (or no) skill set. If someone wants to make more than minimum wage, they need to gain experience, knowledge and skill.
