In colonial times, if a woman missed a period and did not want to bear a child, she sought out the midwife and had an abortion and hubby knew nothing. In modern times, midwives and doctors are all linked through credit cards and financial transactions, and it is more difficult for the woman.
There is no reason why a woman should not have total control of her body.
