You're comparing apples and oranges. Would the school require him to change his shirt if it said "The Earth is round"? His shirt was stating a scientific fact...not an opinion. No one would dispute the school requiring a student to remove a shirt that has "You momma's a whore", or "Black (or White) people are stupid. So this not really about free speech, is it?
