This is what full employment looks like, and it’s a good problem to have.
The bad problem would be the mill is laying off workers, sales are low, and every newspaper is full of nothing but gloom and doom.
The solution is to automate as many dirty jobs as possible.
Then, maybe, just asking, they might put up a gate in Trump’s wall for more guest workers? Not too many, but the ones who wanted to work?
Not for us, let other manufacturing facilities in the area lay off. Our product(s) make us virtually recession proof. It is used in construction...commercial, residential and road...water purification, waste water processing, medical packaging, roofing, oil and natural gas drilling and steel production. Unless we are in a depression, not all those are down at the same time. In fact, we average about 95% production capacity and have trouble keeping up. The "tree huggers" make it virtually impossible to expand or automate more.
Guest worke...err, illegal aliens...don't work for us. Our drug screening and criminal background checks are very extensive and they tend to do poorly in those.
