I had to chuckle last night when I heard the local "pundit" talk about Allred having a chance. Because both Trump and Biden were going to run away with the Texas primary, the US Senate race was the "draw"...more so on the demonrat side because Cruz was, for all purposes, unopposed. Nobody felt Gibson had any chance of winning (Cruz received 88.3%). Allred receive 59.3% of dem votes...total votes cast in that contested primary were 954k. However, in the repub primary, 2.2 million votes were cast in an "uncontested " primary. If Allred can somehow double demonrat turnout and republican turnout drops 10%...Cruz still wins.
No one can defeat Ted Cruz.
The senate job is his for as long as he wants it.
