Doctors-Without-Borders, among others, were seeking financial help for birth defects such as harelip, missing limbs, etc. that was a direct result of inbreeding.
It seemed trying to "fix" the problem after the fact was kept under the radar. The weepy music and begging didn't mesh well with incest.
This isn't, of course, strictly a muslim problem. It just happens to be prevalent therein.
