Mirabeau's great, great, great grandfather, Mirabeau I, had ALL of his slaves CONFISCATED by the federal government in 1865.
The slaves were bought and paid for fair and square by Mirabeau I, and, yet, when this PROPERTY was CONFISCATED from Mirabeau I, the federal government paid NOTHING to Mirabeau I. It has now been 159 years since the property was CONFISCATED without payment. The financial loss suffered by Mirabeau 1, at 7% interest compounded annually since 1865, now amounts to MILLIONS OF DOLLARS the feds owe us.
