Some of this is due to simply not needing it. Every time we run a recruitment, 50% or more of the candidates are minorities or women. This is why 5 of the last 6 hires have been minorities or a woman. Going to hire someone in my dept in 3 weeks and from what I can tell from looking at resumes, the same trend will continue.
