I've already pointed out, in several responses, that the FACTS and ACTIONS of the rioters that day, including breaching by force the Capitol, and roaming halls and corridors chanting to hang the Vice President,
as well as other actions WELL DOCUMENTED, were sufficient enough to have caused lawmakers and those whose duty it was to protect THEM, to fear for their lives - even prompting goodbye calls to loved ones.
I've referenced what was occurring when the rabid mob was at the doors trying to BREAK THROUGH when one of their number was shot.
Frankly given all the above I think it commendable of the vastly outnumber Capitol officers that they HADN'T responded with MORE force. THAT'S the restraint I speak of, champ.
So maybe YOU'RE having a bad day since you seem to be unable (or perhaps UNWILLING) to get the point.
And, like I said, we BOTH know it would've been a completely different scenario had that been BLM instead of organized, right winged terrorists who Trump on national TV told to "stand back and stand by."
Not that they'd have been able to get anywhere NEAR the Capitol if the situation were REVERSED.
