I would suggest it is YOU who are trying to minimize what Trump and his INSURRECTIONISTS tried to do that day. They weren't just peaceful demonstrators. The progressive left has been yelling defund the police to anyone who will listen. Dem mayors across the Nation have been doing the same and actually doing the defunding. Biden (on several occasions) have stood with the "defund the police" movement and stated that they are doing a great job. Heck the Dem platform has written in its language targeting police for change.
