That's politics. You may or may not remember that Joe Lieberman - ONE DEMOCRAT - decided that the USA would not have medicare for all, and instead we got obamacare, which was written by insurance industry lobbyists.
I doubt the 118th congress will be any more partisan tha the 117th - indeed, I cannot imagine how they could.
After watching what the dems did in the last 2 years, I am looking forward to "very little getting done".
