I do not think the US Government should be the parent(s). That is a terrible idea.
I didn't receive any satisfaction, thrill, or loving sensation during conception... and I do not personally know these people. Why would I wish to be responsible for someone else's actions... I am responsible for my own actions.
I have more appreciation, gratefulness, and desire to help a person who put forth the effort, persistence, and sacrifice in defending my country and would rather my Tax $$$ went to them.
