I am not suggesting that Ukraine should become part of Russia. I hope Ukraine can find peace. I am well aware of Russia/Putin broken promises, invasion, and broken treaties over the last 3 years. If the U.S. or anyone else was going to stop Russia/Putin it should have been done at the start of the invasion ... no one did. We all let things get to today.

... The reality is Ukraine is running out of people who can fight, and they will need more equipment ... Russia has more people to draw on and can manufacture a lot more military equipment than Ukraine. Unless Europe and the U.S. puts boots in Ukraine ... Ukraine cannot win... Ukraine needs peace in order to continue to be a country.
... Ukraine needs to quit living in the past ... Ukraine wants to complain that Russia is mean and evil at a time when in order to survive, today what Ukraine needs is a peace treaty now. The Europe countries have already said that they will provide and ensure a security force for Ukraine ... Ukraine needs a peace treaty done and then move in the Europe peace keeping forces quickly ... Diplomacy is Ukraine's only chance now.

in fairness Russia's economy is in the toilet. Their inflation is around 20%, ---jobs are hard to find, unrest is starting to develop ... but I'm not counting on a major shift within the Russia/Putin views on Ukraine.
