this exactly what jefferson had in mind when he said the constitution can be amended, that it is
not a sacred document,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The tissue that comes in contact with the bullet moves away from it and then returns to its place - but is left damaged or destroyed - in a process known in medicine as cavitation.A high-velocity bullet not only damages organ tissue that is directly in its path, but also several inches away from its path, which makes it significantly more lethal because it causes catastrophic bleeding. She adds: ‘exit wounds can be the size of an orange.’

Except that gun controllers today make zero effort to actually amend the Constitution; they just try to force through unconstitutional laws instead. YOU CAN'T IGNORE THE CONSTITUTION JUST BECAUSE YOU FIND IT INCONVENIENT TO YOUR AGENDA.
...And the info about the ammo mentioned above is not factually accurate. The tissue destruction everyone claims only a so-called "assault weapon" can cause is actually due to the AMMUNITION USED and not the gun. There was a time when the military was considering dropping the M16/M4 pattern rifles because of their LACK OF LETHALITY due to the fact that the ammunition issued would zip right through someone, the tissue would slam shut behind it like someone being stabbed with an ice pick, and blood loss was minimal and if the spine or the brain wasn't hit survival was high. It was sport shooters designing bullets to dispatch prairie dogs and the like that created rounds that expanded explosively and did more tissue damage. Law enforcement quickly figured out such rounds would dramatically reduce over penetration and ricochets endangering innocent bystanders, and they designed similar rounds to reduce public risk. Of course, since those rounds expanded and fragmented it made for more catastrophic wounds.
Ever notice the AR has been around since the 1950's and weren't used in mass shootings?? Until the media began to spread misinformation and dishonest reporting about the "lethality" and "destructive ability" of semi-auto rifles, so nutjobs looking to inflict more harm started using them.
