Our manufacturing is pretty screwed up. You can't just "bring manufacturing back". In many cases the expertise is gone...from the individual company if not the country. The expertise is certainly long gone from management and in many cases the tools are also gone. You have to go back to the 1920's and learn how to do **** again. Bringing it back is going to hurt.
The economy in general is pretty **** up as a result. There just aren't enough really good paying jobs that allow a decent standard of living with these prices. Some deflation would be nice.
I hope trump knows how to fix this mess but I sure don't. I did know what to do about manufacturing when I was a manufacturing engineer and the child MBA's first went to work killing it but it's gone way down the toilet since then.
