And I have been very active in Photography as well since I was 15 years old and started with nothing BUT film. Digital cameras didn't become something photo-journalists or even everyday photographers started carrying until the very late1980's and practical ones in the 1990's. I worked in the print / publication industry through the whole transition from film / photo paper to digital…I scanned thousands of photos…the only “metadata” the occurred was an effing timestamp…nothing else…chain of custody was nonexistent…

then the **** VaG tried his damnedest to say IPTC was the metadata proving authenticity…which in its infancy, applied to faxes, etc…the real recordable metadata didn’t come into play until 1990, a decade after the Cohn photo was taken…
