I think that may be part of the otherwise inexplicable reason (besides harassment by Big Pharma's captured media) that he went silent on hydroxychloroquine. But as I'm sure you would remember, every time he mentioned he was encouraged by HCQ the media went insane! "You're not doctor Fauci!" "You can't speak for scientists!" etc. ad nauseum. Everything but the tar and feathering and parading in the ox cart.
You probably even blame Trump for the fraudulent study that shut down the trials for HCQ and through which the media demonized it from then on, even though the fraud was so conspicuous the study had to be retracted within a couple weeks.

He should have taken the lead on HCQ and fired all of the heads of NIH, FDA, CDC and anyone else in government that went against it, and hired doctors and actual scientists that were having 100% success in early treatment with it. But the presidency is a big job and one has to depend on others. He failed to realize the extent to which he was surrounded by Satan's spawn.
HCQ would have ended the pandemic within months and demonstrated absolutely no need for a "vaccine" for such an easily treated disease.
